Barren County 8th Grader Tops State Art Contest!

Great news for Barren County as Marley Redford, an 8th-grade artist, clinches 1st place in the Kentucky Association of Counties "I Love My County" Art Contest. Marley's drawing of our very own Barren County courthouse stood out among entries from all over the state, earning her a cool $250 prize.

But that's not all – Marley's artwork will be featured in the KACo magazine, The County Line, and their yearly calendar. Plus, she's got an exclusive invite to the President's Reception and Banquet at the 2023 KACo Conference this month and will be recognized at the November Barren County Fiscal Court meeting.

Big thanks to Judge Byrd for giving our Barren County Middle School students this awesome chance. Marley's winning piece is currently on display at SKyPAC for the BCMS/BCHS Art Show – go check it out! Big shoutout to Marley for making Barren County proud!
