BARREN County Clerk Recognized for Success in Promoting Ag Tag Program
The Barren County Clerk's Office is being commended for its outstanding efforts in promoting the Ag Tag program in 2023. Thanks to their dedication and support, BARREN County residents rallied together to donate a total of $9,620 to Kentucky 4-H, Kentucky FFA, and Kentucky Proud initiatives.
The Ag Tag program, which allows residents to make a $10 donation when renewing their agricultural license plate, has proven to be a significant contributor to youth programs across the Commonwealth. Each $10 donation is split equally between Kentucky 4-H, Kentucky FFA, and Kentucky Proud, supporting initiatives that foster youth leadership, agricultural education, and local communities.
Half of the funds allocated to 4-H and FFA are reinvested into local chapters, empowering them to make impactful decisions that benefit Barren County directly. The remaining funds support statewide programs that reach youth members across Kentucky.
The $9,620 raised through the Ag Tag program is a testament to the generosity and commitment of BARREN County residents. However, there is still untapped potential. If every individual purchasing an Ag Tag in BARREN County made the $10 donation, it could raise an impressive $48,650, significantly increasing support for youth leadership programs.
The BARREN County Clerk's Office is calling on community members to continue their support for local youth initiatives by participating in the Ag Tag program. By making a small investment, residents can create a substantial and lasting impact on the future of BARREN County's youth.
