INVITATION TO BID

Materials/Supplies

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., central time, on the following items in a quantity sufficient to supply its needs during the 2025-2026 fiscal year:

1) Crushed Stone.

2) Corrugated Metal Galvanized Pipe.

3) Plastic Pipe.

4) Plant Mix.

5) Road Oil

6) Snow/Ice Removal

7) Fuel

8) Chip and Seal

All bidders shall use the bid form provided by the Barren Fiscal Court which may be obtained by calling the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office, at 270.651.3338. All bidders shall be of the quality prescribed in the specifications or better. The bid shall unequivocally state the price per unit the County will be required to pay during the one year fiscal period (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026) which will include all taxes the county will be required to pay.

Bids shall be submitted to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office, 117 North Public Square, Suite 3A, Glasgow, Kentucky 42141, in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid on specific items, as may be applicable.

Partial bids for only a portion of the items specified may be submitted by any vendor, and Fiscal Court reserves the right to award all or only a portion of any bid submitted or to readvertise any item(s) before awarding any contract.

 

Bid shall be awarded on an evaluated basis. The Barren Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.

Past Bids

Courthouse Sidewalk Rehabilitation Project

The Barren County Fiscal Court is seeking civil construction plans for the Barren County Courthouse interior courtyard sidewalk rehabilitation project. Bids will be accepted until Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Bids shall be submitted and returned to the Barren Coun ty Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened at the next Building and Property Committee meeting and publicly read in Fiscal Court.

Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the County Judge/Execu-tive's Office.

The Fiscal Court reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.

Siddens Road Bridge Repair Project

 

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center, Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for a bridge repair project on Siddens Road. 

Bids shall be submitted and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened and publicly read at the next transportation committee meeting.

 

The Fiscal Court reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.

Beechtree Lane Widening Project 

 

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center, Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for qualified engineering firms to provide professional services for the Beechtree Lane Widening Project. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing plans, designs, and specifications for the widening of Beechtree Lane, as well as any required environmental studies, traffic analysis, and related documentation.

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid forms and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened and publicly read at the next transportation committee meeting.

The Fiscal Court reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.

Mt. Pleasant Road Project

 

 The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center, Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for proposed intersection improvements for Mt. Pleasant Road’s entrance.

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid forms and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened at the next transportation committee meeting and publicly read at the next fiscal court meeting.

 The Fiscal Court reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.

Regional Agriculture Exposition Center 

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center, Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for the design center architect and design fees. 

 

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid form and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened publicly at the next scheduled Building and Property Committee meeting.

         

The Barren County Fiscal Court reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.

Ritter's Mill

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center, Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for repairs to Ritter’s Mill Road.  

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid form and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened and publicly read at the next transportation committee meeting.

Mowing & Weed Eating Contract for Barren County Fiscal Court

 

General Information:

Requirements & Specifications 

  1. Minimum of one-million-dollar Commercial General Liability Insurance

  2. Weekly mowing will begin April 2nd, 2025. Last mowing October 29th, 2025.

  3. Weekly mowing and weed eating will be performed and completed on Wednesdays (weather permitting). If the weather cancels the weekly Wednesday mowing, Friday becomes the alternative date. If mowing must be moved to a different day/date due to weather mowing to a different day will have to be completed by 4:00 p.m. No Saturday mowing.

  4. Erosion ditch to be weed eat weekly and maintain weed/grass/vegetation control in the ditch.

  5. Responsible for all damage caused to the park property (buildings, structures, fencing, irrigation etc.)

  6. Maintain weed/grass control inside the gravel football parking lot and overflow gravel parking lot, this includes gravel walkway from football parking lot to the football playing surface.

 

**The six baseball and softball fields located at Jackie Browning Park, 300 Donnelley Drive, Glasgow, Ky., along with the restroom, pavilion and playground area will be mowed by Barren County Parks and Recreation.

 

**The football field located at Jackie Browning Park is part of the contracted mowing bid. **

Auctioneer – Health Department Building 

The Barren County Fiscal Court is seeking qualified auctioneers to conduct the sale of the Barren County Health Department building. Bids will be accepted until January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM. All interested auctioneers must submit their qualifications and proposed fees by the deadline. The successful bidder will be responsible for conducting the auction, managing advertising, and providing necessary documentation for the sale of the building.

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid forms and returned to the Barren County Judge/Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened and publicly read at the next Building and Property committee meeting.

(IFB) Purchase of a Mowing Tractor.

The Barren County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., central time, Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, Barren County Government Center , Third Floor, 117 North Public Square, Glasgow, KY 42141, for the purchase of a mowing tractor.

Bids shall be submitted on the supplied bid form and returned to the Barren County Judge Executive's Office in a sealed envelope properly marked as a bid. The bids will be opened the same day they are due and publicly read at the next transportation committee meeting.

(RFP) Park City Amphitheater and Drive-In Movie Venue Project.

Barren County Fiscal Court is seeking proposals for services relating to the Park City Amphitheater and Drive-In

Movie venue Project. Proposals, including price, will be taken for architectural & engineering services

Minimum reguirements incude previous experience in engineering and archiectural design, construction management and inspection on similar projects.

All interested persons and firms should contact the Barren County Judge Executive's Office at (270) 651-3338 or via email at cje@barrencountyky.gov between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to obtain an informational packet.

Proposals must be received at the Barren County Judge Executive's Office, 117 N. Public Square, Suite 3A, Glasgow, Kentucky, 42141 by 10 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025. RFP - Purchase of One (1) 2024 New Tri-Axle Dump Truck for the Barren County Road Department

The Barren Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids until 9:00 a.m. on the 12th day of April, 2024 for the purchase of One (1) 2024 New Tri-Axle Dump Truck for the Barren County Road Department.  Specifications and bid form may be picked up at the office of the Barren County Road Department, 150 County Barn Road, Glasgow, Kentucky.

Bids will be received at the office of the  Baren County Judge Executive, Barren County Government Building, 117 North Public Square, Suite 3A, Glasgow, Kentucky 42141.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  

Step 4

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be received by the designated date and time and none will be considered thereafter.

Step 5

Bidders must follow all bid instructions in the bid packet. Late or unsealed bids will not be accepted. The Fiscal Court of Barren County, Kentucky reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the lowest and best evaluated bid. Barren County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
